Organized by ESCAP, the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Oxfam in Asia and the Global Alliance for Care (GAC)
The associated event will bring together a small group of government representatives, the research and academic community, multilateral and development partners, communities of practice and civil society actors from Africa, Asia and the Pacific, and Latin America and the Caribbean. Through field-based learning, interregional peer exchange and participatory approaches, the programme will explore how inclusive and resilient care systems can be financed, governed, institutionalized, implemented and sustained across different contexts. The exchange will also provide a space for participants to identify practical lessons, strengthen South-South and triangular cooperation and bring interregional perspectives into subsequent CSD9 discussions on valuing and investing in the care economy.
